First, an update on Dave. He had his first post-hospital doctor appointment last week. The good news is, he is doing better with some of the water off of his lungs. He still has water, but they are trying to manage it with a prescription he takes at home for the moment. The bad news is, his heart is functioning at about 20%. There is nothing that modern medicine can do to increase that. All they can do at this point, is to keep him as comfy as possible for as long as possible. We are still praying, and if you are too, THANK YOU!
Now we are in the middle of our ultra busy book shipping month. The Nothing New Press website was down for nearly a week because we discovered some technical incompatibilities with the modern internet. There was no way to fix it, other than to take it down and build it over with modern tools. Well, our company will hit our 25th year anniversary this fall, so it was bound to happen sooner or later. It’s just not something you want to happen in your busy season lol.
Then the week of hospitalization put us further behind, and we are working to get caught up.
Then, I have been working on a much-needed update for our first book, and best-selling book, All Through the Ages Living Books History Guide. It is finally done and at the printer’s. The eBook is now live on our new website. And I am working to rebuild our book pages on our new website.
Tomorrow Dave and I are going to the printer’s in Tampa to pick up books. The new All Through the Ages won’t be ready yet, but other books are. Tomorrow afternoon we will be doing more packing and shipping.
We hope to be enough caught up, by Friday, to spend a little time at the beach, taking some new pictures. And I am getting my hair and toes done, and Dave is taking me out to Cheesecake Factory for a little celebration dinner on getting the new ATTA done, something I have been working on intensely for 3 months, and not as intensely for 6 months. Hooray!
Then on Monday it is back to work on the next new book. This one is Living Books History State by State; it is half done already, and I hope to have it completely done by the end of August. Then we are spending a week in Pensacola with Mike and Brittany, then home for more book writing until it is time for little David John’s birth in the middle of November. WHEW!
