I divided up the 64 finished blocks into those with dark value edges, and those with light and medium value edges, 32 blocks in each group. Then I laid them out alternating dark with light and medium. I also tried to pay attention to the orange, yellow, green, and violet colors, to disperse them more or less evenly throughout the quilt top. The above pic is my placement reference for sewing the top together.
My idea for sewing the blocks together is based on this quilt, from Pinterest I believe. I will cut black squares, from fabric I have set aside for the purpose, to border each block and then sew the blocks into rows, and the rows into the top. More on that coming up.
