DAVE UPDATE Tuesday July 26th:
Dave came home from the hospital on Thursday. Just six days this time instead of six weeks. He is not out of the woods, but he is better than when he went in. He still has some fluid on his lungs that they hope his meds will continue to drain off. He cannot overdo. He comes home from taking Grandpa on his errands just drained. He is seeing a doctor for follow up on Thursday.
DAVE UPDATE: Sunday July 17th:
I took Dave to the ER yesterday and they admitted him. They are going to try to drain his lungs. At least this time I get to visit him.
DAVE UPDATE Tuesday July 12th:
He is by no means out of the woods. But he is sleeping at night. As long as he takes it easy during the day, and keeps his carbs down, he seems to be maintaining the status quo. We have some leads on lung draining … so please keep us in your prayers. Thank you!

We had a wonderful week of vacation at Mike and Britt’s. Dad has had some trouble breathing the past few months; when we got home last Thursday night, though, he really had a bad night. I very nearly took him to the ER, but he did not want to go. Friday was difficult. We talked with Aunt Anne and Uncle Bill about what to do moving forward; but by the evening he was doing a little better. Dad did finally agree to go to the ER if his breathing dropped to an emergency level again.
I am not ready to lose him, but I did let him go and give him permission to go home if that was what he wanted. But we have a plan going forward. If he gets his lungs drained at the ER, and his meds resorted, we think he will get a new lease on life. And many prayers are going up for him. Next spring we will be moving to Pensacola, Lord willing. It will solve a lot of the current problems. I will keep you all updated.
