Wednesday we visited the Japanese Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg. We learned these Gardens were built in the 1930’s on the site of a previous sinkhole, thus “Sunken.” Also, they are the oldest “Florida Roadside Attraction” still open today. At any rate, the rain and humidity made it like walking through a true tropical rainforest. They were breathtakingly beautiful!
