Perhaps you have heard that a construction worker in Ireland uncovered an ancient copy of the Psalms,
a hand-lettered manuscript, in a bog. The manuscript dates to 800 –
1000 ad, or the time of the Viking assualts on Ireland when many of the
churches and monasteries were raided time and again. Perhaps a Viking
threw away the book after sorting through his loot from a raid.
But what is even more amazing, is that the book was open to the 83rd Psalm, which reads:
Keep
not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have
lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people,
and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us
cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no
more in remembrance. Psalm 83:1-4
World Net Daily reports on the stir
this is making all over the world, as if God Himself is speaking
freshly to the world about His people Israel amidst the new mideast
war.
BTW, Drudge is reporting that Hezbollah has fired over 1400 rockets into Israel since they began the hostilities, and is now firing rockets into Israeli cemetaries
to smash the graves. This is a horrible sacrilege in the eyes of the
orthodox Jews, who believe in the resurrection of the dead. With Al Qaeda recently calling for a jihad against Israel,
it does seem as if the extremists, “they that hate Thee,” have taken
“crafty counsel against Thy people,” and have said, “Come, and let us
cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no
more in remembrance.”
