06/13/06 Update: Townhall.com has a complete and thorough review of Godless up which covers the controversy that has arisen over the book.
Ann Coulter’s newest book came out yesterday: Godless: The Church of Liberalism. She has written her own review of it, since she doubts the New York Times will review it:
The liberal hostility to God-based religions has already been copiously documented by many others. Godless goes far beyond this well-established liberal hostility to real religions.
The thesis of Godless
is: Liberalism IS a religion. The liberal religion has its own
cosmology, its own explanation for why we are here, its own gods, its
own clergy. The basic tenet of liberalism is that nature is god and men

take less time for (1) a single-celled organism to evolve into a human
being through mutation and natural selection than for (2) Darwinists to
admit they have no proof of (1).
Answers in Genesis
has been pointing out for years that darwinism is a religion, not
science, and they are right: origins is a unique, historic event that
cannot be observed and repeated, so science has no business commenting
on it. Now Ann Coulter adds darwinsim as a tenet of liberalism. The
“isms” all come from the same root of denying God as Creator, Lawgiver,
