1 c Organic Valley nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 T water
Cream milk powder and butter together on low speed of mixer; then add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Thin with water if necessary. Add more powdered sugar for a sweeter frosting, or more milk powder for a stiffer frosting. Frosts one cake.
Variations: add fruit juice concentrate in place of the water for orange, pineapple, or lemon frosting. Add cocoa powder for chocolate frosting (adjust sweetener; usually for every T of cocoa powder added, 2 T of sugar (or 1 T of honey, or 1 pkt of stevia) is needed). Add jam or preserves for any fruit-flavored frosting. Let me know if you make any adjustments to the variations.
