Prepare the lemon curd, and chill. In a small cup, combine 2 T of the water and gelatin to soften. In a small saucepan, pour in the sugar, then add the remaining 2 T of the water, and heat to dissolve the sugar. When the sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat, then stir in the softened gelatin and water, stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Set aside to cool. Beat the mascarpone cheese until completely smooth, then add the lemon curd and beat until completely smooth. Lastly add the softened gelatin and beat until completely smooth. In a clean bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Fold the lemon mixture into the whipped cream until the mousse is completely smooth. Pour into dessert dishes and chill. Makes 4 cups, or 8 servings of mousse.
